Detection Principle

The development and design of an economical total nitrogen analyzer, the alkaline persulfate digestion photometric method, uses a closed digestion tube and potassium persulfate as an oxidant to convert all nitrogen-containing compounds in the sample into nitrate at 125 ℃. It then reacts with a color reagent under acidic conditions to form a complex, and its absorbance is measured using spectrophotometry. The total nitrogen content in the water sample can be directly measured on the instrument.
